Silicone adhesive sealant is designed for gluing and sealing electronic components, assemblies and blocks, product cases (“liquid gasket”). Provides dielectric insulation, prevents aggressive environmental influences. Elastic, shock and vibration absorbent. Resistant to ultraviolet radiation, can be used to seal solar panels, solar collectors. Retains its mechanical and dielectric properties in wide temperature ranges, from -60C to +260 ℃. Not flammable. Chemically neutral, acid-free and therefore non-corrosive to bonded surfaces.
Curing of one-component silicone compounds occurs due to interaction with moisture contained in the air. They cure well at room temperature in the range of relative humidity from 30% to 80%. The level of about 90% of the values of their physical properties is reached within 24 to 72 hours. It is possible to accelerate the curing of the composition with a slight heat, not higher than 60°C. Accordingly, silicone sealants should be stored in a sealed container, avoiding contact with air. When working with adhesive-sealant, the time for applying the silicone paste is limited. Typically, this period ranges from several minutes to one hour before the start of the formation of the surface film, which impairs adhesion. It is undesirable to use a one-component compound in confined spaces or apply in a thick layer, because in this case, the curing period is significantly increased.
