As you know, fine graphite is the best lubricant for lock cylinders (so-called "English"). The properties of graphite are such that it is a solid lubricant. At the same time, graphite does not dry out, does not thicken, does not evaporate as it happens with liquid lubricants. It also does not collect dust like lubricants and greases. Abrasive dust contamination is especially important for car locks.
But it is rather problematic to distribute dry graphite powder evenly inside the lock cylinder. If you manage to blow graphite powder into the keyhole, an excessive amount of it can even block the lock mechanism.
An alternative lubrication method is the injection of a liquid lubricant with graphite powder under pressure. The spray will go into each gap, the excess will flow out. As the liquid carrier fraction evaporates, a thin deposit of graphite will remain on the parts of the mechanism.
For ease of lubrication, the spray nozzle is made flat, will slightly enter the keyhole, thereby ensuring economical lubricant consumption.
The volume of the can is 15 ml.
Warning! The lubricant is injected under pressure. In order to avoid splashing clothes, the car interior when lubricating the ignition switch, I recommend pressing a cloth or paper napkin around the spout of the spray can. It is easier than washing the interior parts later (verified by personal experience ...).
